Betaine, Trimethylglycine (TMG).
The molecule betaine (TMG) belongs to the group of methyl group donors and osmolytes. By donating methyl residues, it forms a crucial role in vital methylation processes of the human body. Scientific results showed a protective effect for health through the protective effect against metabolic diseases. In addition, betaine (trimethylglycine) supplement ation promotes cellular protein synthesis and supports muscle growth. The health-promoting and performance-enhancing effects are continuously confirmed and constantly expanded by current studies.

Longevity -
Effect with effect.
Function of betaine (trimethylglycine).
Betaine is considered both a longevity molecule and a performance-enhancing substance. In this context, betaine mainly acts against homocysteine. Constantly elevated homocysteine levels lead to the development of diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer's disease and other cardiovascular diseases by damaging the vascular walls. Betaine, as a methyl group donor, helps to lower elevated homocysteine levels in the human body. Likewise, according to studies, trimethylglycine acts as an osmolyte in regulating cell volume. It protects the cell by helping to maintain and stabilize water and energy balance, as well as metabolic function.
Betaine (TMG) influences the aging process in different ways. Recent research has shown that betaine is associated with an increase in healthspan and even lifespan. This is manifested through its positive effects on the epigenome, inflammaging and proteostasis, which are among the hallmarks of aging.

Intake - your Longevity prescription.
We recommend a daily intake of 2400 mg betaine (TMG). To do this, simply take 4x QSCOOPs 600 mg each about an hour after or with your meals, preferably breakfast, with a glass of warm water (for better solubility).(R, R, R)
TMG Powder: 1-0-0 (morning - noon - evening)
The specified recommended daily intake should not be exceeded. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Please keep out of reach of children. The product should be stored in a cool and dry place. Also keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat.

Production
from the sugar beet.

Extraction of betaine.
The extraction of betaine from sugar beet is a complex process. In each production step, care is taken to produce betaine of the highest quality. Crystalline betaine is obtained from the molasses produced in sugar production in numerous processes. Molasses is a viscous dark brown syrup that contains not only betaine but also salts and, to a large extent, sugar. To extract the remaining sugar from the by-product, the molasses again undergoes a desugaring process. In this process, a thick juice is separated from the residual molasses and liquid betaine is finally obtained.
This then undergoes a process of concentration and crystallization. Crystalline betaine is not only easier to handle, but also convinces with a significantly higher purity. Apart from that, it is a natural and not synthetically produced product. Subsequently, the now crystalline betaine is cleaned and carefully polished in an additional step.

Quality before quantity.
We have nothing to hide! Transparency is not only capitalized at the beginning of a sentence at MoleQlar, but also when it comes to the quality of our products. Every single one of our products - this of course also applies to betaine - is tested and certified for purity and heavy metals both by our manufacturer and by the independent Arotop Laboratories of Limbach Analytics GmbH in Mainz, Germany. You can find the certificate of analysis of Betaine (TMG) here. Convince yourself of MoleQlar's quality!

The molecule betaine is best stored in a cool, dry place. Also keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Please keep out of the reach of children. There are several ways to do this:
On the one hand, our recyclable and environmentally friendly stand-up pouches provide adequate protection against high temperatures, sunlight and moisture. After opening the welded seam, care should be taken to ensure that the bag always remains sealed by means of a pressure seal. This enables adequate and safe storage of betaine.
On the other hand, you can also use our QJAR. The practical jar made of opal glass is not only sustainable and environmentally friendly, but also a useful alternative to the classic bags. Simply fill the powder into the jar and access the betaine conveniently and easily when needed. The jar holds a maximum of 100 ml, so depending on the density, that means about 60 g of betaine powder.
The molecule betaine is offered in powder form, among other things. Accordingly, the question of the correct measurement often arises. The following options are available to you:
- Measurement by laboratory or fine balance
If you want to measure betaine down to the milligram, you should at best get a precision scale. Various, relatively accurate models are already available from 10-15 euros on Amazon.
- Measurement with the QSCOOP
In your bag of betaine you will also find a QSCOOP from MoleQlar. This measuring spoon holds a total of 1 ml - so depending on storage and density, this means about 600 mg of betaine powder.
- Dimension with standard teaspoon
In a classic smooth teaspoon fit approximately between 3 and 5 ml. This corresponds to an amount of up to 3 grams of betaine.
Betaine (TMG) is a water-soluble molecule. It should therefore be taken with plenty of liquid, preferably a glass of water. Whether you take the powder separately or with a meal is completely up to you. Currently, there are no studies that show one method to be superior. In principle, betaine (trimethylglycine) is extremely well absorbed in the intestine and has a high bioavailability.(R, R)
In principle, you can assume a shelf life of about two years. This information serves only as a guideline, can therefore vary and is without guarantee. The exact best-before date of your purchase can be found on the back of your betaine (TMG) bag. Further information or details can be found on the product page.
