Use epiAge™ test correctly ...

Package contents of epiAge test kit.
Before you start collecting samples, carefully check that all the contents of the test kit are complete. To do this, please open the package and make a brief inventory. The following items should be revealed:
- Operating instructions with Secure ID
- Test set with collection tubes and funnel
- epiAge™ info brochure
- Return envelope (already prepaid for orders from DE)
- Quick release bag
If anything is missing, please check the package again. Perhaps you have overlooked something. However, if any item is missing, please contact us immediately.
On your marks, get set and go!
After you have checked the entire package contents for completeness, we recommend that you place all utensils within easy reach in front of you. You can also take a look at the epiAge™ information brochure.
It is important that you familiarise yourself with the operating instructions before you start collecting the saliva sample. For this purpose, we ask you to carefully study the enclosed instructions. Alternatively, you can read the following instructions for use online or download the digital version in German or, for customers from abroad, in English.

Test kit for saliva collection.
Tip: Relax your cheeks with a gentle massage for 15-30 seconds. This helps to promote the flow of saliva.
1 Carefully unscrew the blue cap from the tube with the preservation liquid and attach the funnel to it.
Important: 30 minutes before the saliva sample DO NOT eat, drink, smoke, brush your teeth, chew gum, etc....
2 Spit clean saliva (no mucus) several times into the funnel that you have now screwed onto the collection tube until the tube is filled to the arrow mark (5 ml).
To note: Patiently spit into the funnel several times in a row. Allow time between spits.
3 Carefully unscrew the funnel to prevent spillage of the collected saliva.
The funnel can now be disposed of.
4 Then close the collection tube tightly with the blue cap. Gently shake the closed tube upside down 10-15 times to ensure that the saliva and the preservation liquid are completely mixed.
5 Place the tube in the enclosed quick-closure bag.
6 Please keep the enclosed information sheet in a safe place, as you will need your digital Secure ID to retrieve your test result.
7 Send the saliva sample back to us with the envelope already stamped.
