What is ginger extract?

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is originally from Southeast Asia and is considered a perennial plant. Characteristic are the aromatic smell and the pungent and burning taste. The ginger rootstock (Zingiberis rhizoma) is used as a medicinal drug and dietary supplement . Where is ginger extract found?

Ginger extracts are available in liquid form, dried as powder or already dosed in capsule form. What are the functions of ginger in the human body?

Already 10 minutes after ingestion, the 6-gingerol level increases. Among other things, ginger extracts can exert their positive properties in the treatment of stomach and digestive problems, sugar and fat metabolism, cardiovascular diseases, nerve protection, cell protection, joint inflammation (arthritis), disease-causing microorganisms (such as bacteria, fungi and viruses), respiratory diseases or weight control.
